This profile represents the app-hosting glasses I plan to acquire, not a claim that my current Meta glasses can host arbitrary apps. That distinction must remain visible throughout the catalog and product architecture.
I am publishing this as field notes rather than inflating it into a definitive review. The experience label above says how far I have taken the tool; the decision below says the job I would give it today.

- Meta opened a developer preview for app experiences on supported Ray-Ban Display glasses in 2026.
- The announced workflow distinguishes extending an iOS or Android app from deploying a web experience to the glasses.
- The platform is not interchangeable with the consumer Ray-Ban Meta profile: hardware ownership, display capability, API access, and application execution are separate decisions.

How I would use it
- 01Confirm the exact supported glasses model, developer-preview access, companion-phone requirements, and permitted application surface.
- 02Prototype one glanceable task using the smallest data, camera, microphone, display, and gesture permissions possible.
- 03Test latency, offline behavior, phone loss, battery, privacy indicators, field of view, accessibility, and failure recovery on physical hardware.
- 04Keep the application logic portable so a future XREAL, Android XR, or other glasses runtime can replace the Meta-specific presentation layer.
