Local productivity software

Source Memory records and organizes browser provenance inside the user’s Chrome profile after explicit onboarding consent. It is not a backup service, cloud-sync service, records-management system, legal hold system, or forensic attribution product.

User responsibility

Users are responsible for reviewing saved URLs, titles, notes, selections, exports, and restored pages; protecting their Chrome profile and exported files; respecting website terms and applicable law; and avoiding confidential or restricted material when a workflow does not authorize it.

Human and agent attribution

Agent Control is manually declared by the user. It provides operational context and handoff history, not cryptographic proof of the person, agent, or physical input that caused an event.

Availability and change

Features may change through later releases. Roadmap concepts such as cloud sync, team workflows, or authenticated agent-run integrations are not included in version 1.0.1 and are not promised by this page.

Data loss and restoration limits

Local browser data can be lost through deletion, profile removal, device failure, browser behavior, extension uninstall, or an unusable export. Restoration opens supported, unique URLs; it does not recreate server state, account state, private authorization, expired sessions, or every historical browser condition.

Acceptable use

Do not use Source Memory to violate another person’s privacy, evade access controls, collect information without authority, or misrepresent declared attribution as forensic proof.
